Pastor Tony Zheng

Tony Zheng is originally from China. Before coming to Canada, Tony worked in international trade and translation and served in an urban church. Through his work and ministry, he had many opportunities to interact with people from different countries, cultures, and worldviews. Through those experiences, God gave him a deep burden for people who are searching for identity, hope, and meaning apart from the only true God.

Tony completed both his B.A. and M.Div. at the Canadian Reformed Theological Seminary in Hamilton, Ontario. He loves preaching sermons that connect Scripture to everyday life, showing how the gospel speaks not only to personal suffering and guilt, but also to the confusion and pressures of modern culture. As part of Lighthouse Ministry, Tony hopes to build relationships with people from diverse backgrounds, engage thoughtfully with the questions and challenges of our secular age, disciple believers in their faith, and proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ to those who have never truly heard it. His desire is to help people see that true freedom, purpose, and joy are found not in self-rule, but under the gracious authority of King Jesus.

As Tony looks toward ministry with Lighthouse, he is excited about opportunities to reach people from many backgrounds with the light of the gospel. His prayer is simple: that God would use him, under Christ’s authority, to rescue sinners, strengthen believers, and point people to the only Saviour who truly changes lives.

Tony and his wife are blessed with three children, who keep life joyful, loud, and adventurous. Outside of ministry, Tony enjoys basketball, deep conversations over coffee, and interacting with people from various backgrounds. Feel free to reach out to him if you would like to hear more about the good news of Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world.
